Secure networks for production.
OT Networks & Security
While IT describes the management of information, Operational Technology (OT) deals with the management of physical technological processes in industrial control systems.
The components and networks of IT and OT have different requirements; for example, while the lifespan of IT hardware is around 3 years, 30 years is not uncommon in OT itself.
The protection goals of OT:
Built to last.
Our highest priority for protection goals in OT is the availability and integrity of the plant. This avoids plant downtime – and a possible loss of production for the operator – and ensures the functional safety of the plant.
OT security principle “Defense-in-Depth”: If you want it to be 100 percent good - meaning: always.
When it comes to system and computer qualification, we are particularly meticulous to meet customer-specific qualification and validation requirements. We create maximum efficiency and clarity for everyone involved.
Our services range from advising and training operators to designing and implementing network security to ensuring that the component manufacturers meet all necessary requirements.
Defense-in-depth works similarly to football: a good defense is staggered and complements each other. An attacker must get through that first.
